"Sawatdee Khrab!" to Paradise! - THE STORY day 2, 3 & 4

Finally I got to update some post of WEEKS ago.

To no further delay I shall proceed to finish the unfinished buiness of mine here because there are more things to update after this for the past two weeks! I had been busy with works and tons of other things awaiting me to finish up and I just cant find anytime to sit down to do some blogging.

Yesh, today was the day to do some blogging indeed because I’m down with fever for two days, I drag my gooffy ass onto my chair to start with the typing in Microsoft word before posting on the web because there’s no broadband at home but hopefully the installer do comes to install the broadband this weekend.

DAY 2 – Phang Nga Island

Apparently the day started off with clear sky and beautiful sight of great day ahead. That particular morning we need to gear up early because of the long journey ahead to Phang Nga Island – quoted as James Bond Island. Located between Phuket and the province of Krabi. In fact Pha Nga is a province of its own, most notable for the awesome karst pillars that jut out of the ocean and landscape across this region. So exotic is this location that it was famously featured in the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun and is one of the must see destinations on any tourist’s itinerary in the area.

Alright back to the proceeding of our journey. First! To the CAFÉ! For breakfast of cos!

The Morning Break~

Breakfast!

Non Halal!

After the fulfilling breakfast, we head out to North of Thailand towards Phang Nga Island which is located at North on the mainland of Thailand. But before to Phang Nga Island we will have to go through a DE TOUR! Haha~

PAK PRA CHANNEL

We were told by our tour lead that this was something new for most of the tour package because before the tsunami incident that hit Phuket Island, part of Pak Pra Channel is closed for tourist because it is consider a sanctuary so according to she-he, we were lucky enough to have that program to be include in our tour package.

The PIER we come!

The weather was not encouraging but we were determine to reach our destination although rumour has it says that our trip to the channel or James bond island will be canceled. Huh!

CANOEING?!

Yesh, we reached Pak Pra Channel! Row, row, row your boat gently down stream~ lullaby echoeing down everyone heart that everyone would want to canoe down the channel to see the magnificent wonder of mother nature's masterpiece.

Do you guys see an entrance? I'm going to canoe through that.

Approaching the boundary.

I'm in!

To the open! The weather apparently sucks!

Everyone is stopping down to take a picture or two.

Me too!!!

Did you guys noticed the long channel along the edges? Yea, we went through that. I could'nt take much picture because the canoe is rocking like a cradle because the wind is catching up and it is about to rain.

That would be me & my room mate for this trip!

Heading back to the boat!

We are back to the main boat.

Don't you think sometimes we just could'nt predict the weather? Yesh, indeed we could not. Is sad sometimes when we wanted sunny weather, rain comes and when we wanted rain to ease down the temperature, the sun strike the every drop of water that is on your palm. Even weather focus is not entirely accurate. Well, life is also the same. We may plan ahead of what we want to do and what we want to achieve but sometimes things are not as what we had planned but.. I say but... it will be somewhere near what we desire if we put whole heartedly and 101 % effort in the things we do.

After the Pak Pra Channel we head off back to our schedule. Next we head to a restaurant on the sea for lunch. - Floating restaurant on the sea - HUNGRY! I could just scallop one buffolo!

Restaurant entrance.

The jetty.

Tom yam again?!

Phang Nga Island

James Bond Island here I come!

It was another 35 min boat ride to Phang Nga bay. Again the weather is one of the detrimental factor to our morale. We hope to finish the day without seeing a single drop of rain. Huh! Soon after the long ride, finally we reached our destination!

We reached our destination.

Again, the weather is just not right.

Notice? A mouse look a like rock figure.

Wow

Wow x 2

The ROCK

The rock pathway to the jetty across...

Horizon & beyond.

Soon after the tiring trip island hoping, we headed back to our hotel. The whole journey was tiring and kind of disappointing due to the weather I guess. Everyone was dread tired and had nothing in mind but to get some rest for what the days remains but for me and some of the dudes, we were thinking of something else instead of resting peacefully in our hotel rooms.

At the jetty, we found something...

Ice cream - Kinda different way of preparing ice cream though. haha~

Dinner

At around 0830pm, we finished our dinner at a lovely restaurant that serves finger licking good of THAI delicacies. Yes, tom yam is always in the picture for lunch and dinner except for breakfast. Huh!

LIED down n ENJOY

After dinner, we head out to our individual destination in seek of relaxation and ?excitement?… hell no for me! No more shows for me definitely especially tonight because I’m already dread tiring but I’m looking for something else…

The reception

Yesh, I had a chance to get some THAI massage. No picture was taken in the massage dome, one word to describe the feeling was “shiok!”… eventually I slept during the process of being man-handled, the echoes of the melody resounding in my ear composed by every single bone cracking send jeer to my spike! Ahahaha… I thought I was like LEGO.

2 hours of massage was satisfying, it was raining cats and doggy outside. We soon head back to hotel to wrap up the day.

Day 2 ends...

Day 3 – Spectacular

Breakfast of the day!

Today we are going to island hoping again. On our menu we are going to Phi Phi island. It will comprises of Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi ley known as the 'jewels of the Andaman Sea '. We will have snorkeling and sight seeing on both of this island.

This time we are going to travel south of Phuket Island.

We reached Phi phi don first to get the chance to look around the island. Nothing much in particular. Just normal sight seeing, buy some local delicacies. The wind is catching up and the weather is not good for the past 2 days including today. Darn! We will just keep our finger cross that the rain won't hit on us that bad.

Soon after an hour on Phi Phi Don island, we headed to Phi phi ley Island to do some snorkeling. We passed a cave that harvest bird nest, it is restricted area owned by private company that harvest bird nest. There we sighted dolphins! Eventually too fast to be captured by my camera. I'm not using SLR ok. haha..

Maya bay - The famous beach where the movie "The beach" was filmed.

Beautiful eh?

Finally we reach Phi phi ley island and we did our snorkeling etc. We head for LUNCH!

Phi phi ley beach

The buffet lunch ---- First round

Around 4pm we set back to Phuket Island to catch the finale of today’s program. Everyone is dread tired and no exception for me too. I was crawling when I reached the hotel (Bs-ting) but preparation must be made for tonight...

FANTASEA – 0730pm

So this would be the last menu of today. We headed to our destination…

Phuket FantaSea is a cultural theme-park packed with loads of activities and entertainment. The theme-park is inspired by Thailand’s rich and exotic heritage. However, Phuket FantaSea not only showcases the charm and beauty of Thailand, but also enriches ancient Thai traditions with cutting edge technology and special effects.

Just me being stupid I guess. hahaha~

The ticket booth...

The body check... hahaha... no weapons or explosive devices allowed...

The BUFFET - dinner! We are so darn hungry! Restaurant.

The restaurant.

Mexican couples with Chan & I.

Menu 1

Menu 2

Menu 3

Ever wonders what is that... just guess... it tasted rather weird but delicious. huh!

Sushi!

All kind of desserts! I just took a few! Too full to consume anymore!

The dining area

Looks grands eh.

Some aussie in the picture.

Festival Village

Blink! display

Soon after our dinner, while we wait for the show to start at 9pm. We stroll around the festival village through Thailand's architectural history. Each fascinating facade promises a unique shopping experience - I'm broke - where visitors can buy locally made products and etc!

Home to the Kamala people, it is a wonderful introduction to the theme park, where the accent is on fun and entertainment blends well with Thailand's legendary hospitality.

Blink blink!

haha~

Main Attractions

Palace of the Elephants

The magnificent Palace of the Elephants! A state of the art theater fronted by a reconstruction of a Sukhothai - era stone palace with intriguing elephant statues. You would want to miss that if you happens to be in Phuket

There will be nightly performances of “Fantasy of a Kingdom”, a theatrical extravaganza which combines Thai culture, magical illusions, aerial performances, acrobatics, indoor pyrotechnics, special effects and elephants. There is a very loose story line which is more of a pretext to the impressive stunts and special effects.

9pm sharp, we headed towards the theater. Everyone is so anxious to see the show. Imagine the theater is excess through 12 gates, how big you think the theater can fit how much people in it. Is 3000 people!

Behold!

Looks grand?

The entrance path to our gate 11!

Notice the signboard? Yesh, camera nor camcorder is allowed.. so... no picture were taken in the theater. Sigh~

So I guess that it for now, we are heading off back to our hotel after the show. Maybe in the near future, I might visit Phuket Island again. Mixed feeling I guess, disappointed with the weather but compensated by spectacular shows. I guess is a fifty fifty of enjoyment and disappointment.

So that end of DAY 3!

Day 4 – Home Sweet Home

Last day of my trip to Phuket Island, we are packed and ready to head back to MY. The day is early because our flight would be at 12am in the noon so we do have some extra time to SPEND, spend money in short and so we headed to our shopping destination.

Hotel lobby.

Welcome to Sri Bhurapha Orchid! Does that look like an orchid to you? Just guess what's that?

The actual thing looks exactly like this. Picture showed above.

I guess by now all of you would know what's that. Looks familiar?

I guess most of us that consume without ever had a thought of how it was being done. It is pure labour. With the help of minor machinery, the workers need to peel of the nuts one by one. haha~

It is then go through several process of cleaning and boiling to get what it is shown below in packets where we normally will purchase.

Is RM 15.00 per packet. Ever ate a chocolate or honey flavour one before? hah! I bought some from the factory for my colleague and friends.

We spend almost an hour shopping for nuts! haha~ then we headed of to another shopping destination. Why do they have to arrange shopping at the last day? I'm almost near broke~!

We headed to Phuket's finest Gems Gallery. Well, I guess the female will gonna loves this place. It has a gallery filled with all kind of Gems, you named it and they got it. Pearls are sold here too. I guess we gonna spend rather long hours here waiting... you know. haha.

To my relieve! There's a lounge that offer comfortable sits with bottomless beverage served!!! Even beer is bottomless! hahaha!

Part of the gallery. Hallway.

Phuket International Airport

Finally the day going to end soon when we headed our way back to MY, we waited for our flight and while waiting we had our lunch in burger king and guess what I manage to find on the menu >.<

The usual...
