MOVIE DAY – WEDNESDAY

GSC? TGV?

“Wednesday” is a particularly day for most malaysian movie-goersSs to crowd the local cinema/cineplex in town including people like me. The reason is simple! “DISCOUNT”, for movie from morning till 6pm - mostly student -

Ah yesh, it has been a while that i could'nt made it to any of these shows during that time frame cos.. I’m WORKING... giving to exceptance of which when I'm on hol/MC/EL. Haha~

Well, apparently today I’m not going for any movie. Maybe after work, I might just get some old VCD & sit on my chair while sliding down back to memory lane.

Lately, I came across a movie introduced by Alan, a Japanese Movie titled “BE WITH YOU”. Indeed is a romance movie, I believe for those who loves romance & drama, you should watch this movie and for those you doesn’t want to spend a sen on original VCD/DVD, need not for me to tell you where to get it. I guess you know your sources, theres either the INTERNET or stalls at pasar mlm. >.<

Heres' some of the Screen shot taken in the movie.

The cover of the VCD/DVD

Touching Scene

Beautiful Scenery

Year: 2004
Director: Nobuhiro Doi
Cast: Yuko Takeuchi, Shido Nakamura, Akashi Takei.

Synopsis: A well-told romance about a woman returning from the grave to visit her husband and her six-year-old son. The film requires the viewer to suspend their disbelief to be sure, but not necessarily in terms of its far-out premise. Even so, Be With You is a terrific little film.

Review: Unlike most traditional romances, Be With You offers up an intriguing, possibly supernatural premise - a deceased love returning from beyond the grave. It may sound like a pitch for a horror movie, but Nobuhiro Doi's masterfully told romance is anything but scary. A box office hit in Japan and elsewhere, Be With You is a rousing crowd pleaser.

I found Be With You to be an elegantly shot, well-drawn portrait of a family trying to make the most of their lives on borrowed time.

Spoiler : The finale involving Takumi reading Mio's diary and discovering the truth about their early days may seem tacked-on to some viewers, especially after the emotional climax of Mio's departure, but personally, I found the extended sequence gave the film a deeper meaning and proved crucial to understanding exactly what was happening in the narrative as a whole. As such, if you simply accept the fact that these two people were very much in love, then Be With You should be the kind of film that should have you reaching for the tissue box more than once. Even though I didn't totally buy into their romance, even I found myself moved by this beautiful, emotionally-charged film.

YESH, another movie to introduce you all is….

SWING GIRLS!!

Year: 2004
Director: Shinobu Yaguichi
Producer: Shoji Masui, Chihiro Kameyama, Yoshishige Shimatani, Ryuichi Mori, Daisuke Sekiguchi, Shintaro Horikawa
Writer: Shinobu Yaguichi, Junko Yaguichi
Cast: Juri Ueno, Yuta Hiraoka, Shihori Kanjiya, Yuika Motokariya, Yukari Toyoshima, Miho Shiraishi, Naoto Takenaka, Fumiyo Kohinata, Eriko Watanabe, Mutsuko Sakura, Kei Tani, Hana Kino, Naomi Nishida, Masaaki Takarai

Synopsis: Though totally inconsequential and occasionally manufactured, Swing Girls is delightful stuff that entertains without insulting. The story may seem undeveloped and even inconclusive, but director Shinobu Yaguichi and company hit all the right notes. If you loosen up and swing, this movie will reward you.

Review: From the makers of Shall We Dance and Waterboys comes Swing Girls, a feel-good comedy about a bunch of girls who form a group to perform big band jazz. That's it. Forget big emotional clinches, family issues, or even any real teen romance; this is a movie about girls who play the sax, trombone, trumpet, and assorted other instruments that you might remember from high school. Very little else happens in Swing Girls besides the girls picking up the instruments and learning how to play them. Most of the girls are types, some are barely glimpsed, and yet everyone bands together to perform some inspirational jazz in a loaded "battle of the bands" finale. Does this sound like a good movie? Well, formula be damned, it is a good movie!

Swing Girls is not a complex film. Aside from having a completely simplistic narrative, each of the starring girls is a defined type.

Swing Girls is a true story. Kind of. The film was based on an actual girls' jazz band, but the official press for Swing Girls explains that the young actresses actually played their own instruments, and all were complete novices when filming began, just like the characters they play. It's always charming to watch a bunch of nobodies go from zero to hero, and the fact that this happened in the film AND behind the scenes is enough to make the film's faults fall neatly by the wayside. Swing Girls possesses simplistic narrative devices and less tension than a snail race, yet the whole manages to entertain and charm on the purest of levels—such that the film's lack of closure seems to be delivering a message.

Basically, it doesn't matter if you win, lose, lie, cheat, attain love, or measure up to your seemingly-superior peers. All you need to do is swing, and that's enough. By the time the girls are able to perform in front of all their peers, it doesn't even matter if they were perfect, because the simple fact that they did it is more than enough. The Swing Girls themselves may not hit all the right notes, but this movie does.

~MOVIE?~

I guess good movies are hard to come by these days. Most appears to be just above the average. Agree?

However, we can only assumed and based on some experience that we accumulate along the way that makes us wiser in making decision and prevention/cure will come into the picture automatically while dealing with obstacles that comes our way.

Ya, few hours had passed. Nothing much had been done, I am still wondering how to spend my Sunday. Maybe ill just go over to the other room to waste my time >.<>

GOD OF WAR II !!!!!

Believe me or not, if you happens to have a Ps2 - get your hand on one copy of the ORIGINAL game titled "GOD OF WAR II" (should not support priracy >.<)

This game rocks! It's not even PS3, but it's burning hot with the fires of hell.

A bit of description to arouse you all! Kekekeke~
God of War saw Kratos, a mortal warrior, set upon an epic quest to dethrone a God. But his journey did not end there. In God of War II, Kratos sits atop his Olympus throne, as the new God of War – far more ruthless than Ares ever was. To end his continued torment, Kratos must journey to the far reaches of the earth and defeat untold horrors and alter that which no mortal, or god has ever changed, his fate.

God of War II sets an epic stage for a devastating mythological war to end all wars.

Heres the link for you to go clicking & view the TERROR within the game!

10. Designs that turns head!!!!

Well, Alan and I eventually stumbled upon a crowd peeping inside a box!!! Do curiousity kills the cat? Well, not for this box! IF you happens to solve the riddle, you will get a mystery prize~ I THINK it should be a new phone with 3.2 mega pixel cam.. haha.. Why wait~ rush to mid valley now to solve the riddle! It is located just outside the hallway in between of Nike & Pet's Wonderland.

Alan with his TWO finger ^.^

BASKETBALL n Nike^

In ancient Greece, NIKE was the winged goddess of victory. She was the daughter of Pallas and Styx.

"To win glory, stepping into the chariot of honoured Nike: for to one man only does the goddess grant to jump into her great carriage." -Greek Lyric III Simonides

Eventually I got myself a nike basketball jersey for 50% discount. Haha~ yesh, "I BELIEVE I CAN FLY". Well, *b#tch slap myself* theres no such thing of wearing nike on any parts of your body makes you a better sports person.

3:30PM
We headed back home for a basketball session. *wink~ YESH, I get to wear my jersey! Actually is a sleeveless T, its more cooling comparing to a T- more ventilation for my 'KETIAK' muahahaha~. We had 4 person in a group, it were Jack, Alan, Kenneth & I. Initially, we played 2 vs 2 and then later we got a challenged by dudes from the other half of the court to play 3 on 3!!

The days end soon after, we wrapped up the basketball session and off we go back to home. Showered, dinner, rest and relax, OMG! Its.... tomorrow... I HATE MONDAYSss!!!!!

Define The NORM~

RAPID KL??

Ah~~ hm~~ apparently Im sitting inside the bus waiting for the 'TAI KO' bus driver to start moving his ass cos I had already waited inside the bus for 1/2 hour.

Waiting Interval:

I waited for the bus to reach the bus stop alone takes me 40min and another 30min or more till the bus start
moving with passenger full packed inside.

hey, theres some interesting facts below. Click the picture below to enlarge.

YA, I know. The qualities of my picture is lousy because I'm using VGA cam from my phone.

LEMBU makan Ayam

Imagine all the cows are to went berserk and start eating FLESH & BLOOD instead of 'Green green river side grass' -(translate that to chinese) ahaha~ Would'nt that be scary! I guess it would be more scarier for our Muslim friend who SEMBELIT cows during Hari Raya Haji as one their religion practices. The LEMBU is out for revenge!! However, as for our Hindu friends, I guess they are spared BECOS they treat cows as a holy animal >.<

yea, no offence and correct my facts if im wrong! Hahaha~

RAMBO in the making.

Afternoon strolling below my condominium was relaxing after my 1 hour nap. I was sitting beside of the swimming pool and I noticed some kid playing rambo wannabe with water guns. I guess these days kid is so lucky of which they would have the lastest gadget and etc. Like my friend Jo, he got a PsP, O2 & etc. I bet you are reading this right now eh, Jo. Hahaha~ jk jk.

During my time, the only water pistol we had was the one inside our pants. >.<

The afternoon gave in to sunset soon and it was...

DINNER TIME!!!

Well, I was kinda lazy to have dinner far from home and it is Sunday too. Tomorrow will be tiring if I travelled far just to have decent food. So in the end I choose somewhere near to my place and it just took me 10min walk with my brother and su wei to a place named...

"ITALIAN PIZZA - PARADISO".

Few words to describe.

"Authetic Italian cuisine by Italian on malaysian soil!"
"Mouth-watering Italian specialties, great ambience and good mix of people to go along with it!"

The food was hm… sorry! not good with vocabulary or describing BUT is unlike Pizza Hunt, Shaky or Domino! Commercialise italian food always aimed for fulfilling methodSsss (*stomach filled policy-piroirity) but not the quality of taste or the originality. Thanks to my insatiable appetites! I'm craze for good food!

Sometime is not about how fancy to restaurant can be or how expensive it can get and the bill will burn your wallet into ashes instead it is always depending on the quality of the food they serve!

Well, I found one somewhere near my place. >.<

Before proceeding to the mouth watering picture I took - heres some of the recommended italian restaurant of which I dine before.

I found some place that are worth while to tryout are as below:

In truth, “Italian cuisine” is a misnomer, as Italy is a mishmash of different provinces which were only unified in 1861. (Not born yet). Throwing together different regions with different cultural melting pot backgrounds does not add up to a general cuisine menu that represents all of Italy.

An example would be that the pizzas of Rome are wafer-thin, in contrast to the thick pizzas of Sicily.

FOOD!

Ah well, I did'nt went for the 5 courses meal or any meal courses but instead I went for the ala-cart! The freedom of choices. HAHA!
