ORANGES~

Tiny Mandarin Oranges

Since the past week, I had been consuming lots of those tiny thing as showed above. 2 'biji' the least each day in the office.

The largest producer of mandarins in the world is china, followed by spain and japan. However, most of china's and japan's production is consumed locally, while a large amount of spain's production is exported.

Malaysia is just a net importer of mandarin oranges and consumption is increasing by 10% per year. (Thanks to ppl like me >.<) About 90% are imported from china mainly just before cny. The importation by malaysia in 1999, valued at RM 42.840 million. However, suprisingly the value reduced to RM 39.316 million in year 2001.

'These oranges will cost more next year. Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Mohd Shafie Apdal said, this was due to higher fuel costs!!!!!'

This year more than 1.4 million crates of oranges were imported.

2 more days in counting till the day I shall return back to the land of head hunters! bwhahaha!
